The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is accepting online application for the 2021/2022 academic year from April 1 to November 30, 2021. As a result, UKZN encourages prospective students to register as soon as possible for the 2022 academic year online application or via application form (Hard-Copy).
Any student who wishes to begin a new qualification at the University of KwaZulu-Natal must apply for admission using the UKZN online application tool. This UKZN online application window is currently open for the following:
- Applicants that are new to the University of KwaZulu-Nata UKZN

General Guide on how to apply for UKZN online application 2022
Step 1: Visit the UKZN official website and click on the Admission > Apply for Admission link for undergraduate students or postgraduate applicants (Undergraduate, Honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas, Master’s & doctoral). From there, you can select your options and proceed to the Registration, Application, and document uploading stages. Step 2: After you click the link in step one, you will be directed to the UKZN Online Application System, where you must fill in all of the necessary details. If you are a first-time applicant, you must first register. First-time applicants are those who have never used the UKZN online application system before and do not have an account to log in using their username and password. Your name, email, password, type of program you’re applying for, and qualification mode are all required during the registration stage.
Step 3: The requisite documentation must be submitted by anyone who is applying for a new qualification (all first-time applicants and UKZN students starting a new qualification). The deadline for uploading the necessary documents is the submission deadline. No documents will be approved after the submission deadline has passed. Scanners and electronic devices are not provided by UKZN. Before beginning the application process, please make sure that all of your documents have been scanned and transferred to an electronic device.
Step 4: Once you’ve received a student number from UKZN, pay the application fee (R200 for online applications). Your application will only be accepted and processed if the fee is paid. Please note that this is a non-refundable fee.
