Most postgraduate programmes containing coursework close on 31 October 2022, with the exception of a few programmes and faculties which start to close from May onward. Please refer to the 2022 Directions for Postgraduate Applicants for the closing dates applicable to you.

Step 4: proceed to uploading relevant documents.
Please remember to submit your application as soon as possible after starting the online application.

Applications for Student Housing
Residential accommodation applications must be received by September 30, 2023. The application is a requirement for academic admission. Only students who apply for full-time study at UCT are considered for housing.
You may want to review the UCT prospectus for a better understanding of how student housing works at UCT.
Funding For South African Postgraduate students
Complete the Postgraduate Funding Application as part of your application for admission to UCT. Please refer to the Postgraduate Funding Office (PGFO) for details: website: www.students.uct.ac.za/students/fees-funding/postgraduate-degree-funding/applications-requirements. The closing dates for the different bursaries and scholarships differ, contact the PGFO for information on the closing dates.
Funding For International Postgraduate students
International and refugee students are eligible for a limited number of scholarships. Due to budgetary constraints, international and refugee student scholarships at UCT are not full-cost awards. Please secure enough financing from other sources. You must first apply for admission to UCT (http://applyonline.uct.ac.za) before applying for financing from the Postgraduate Funding Office.

Please return the completed Form 10C directly to the Postgraduate Centre and Funding Office.
Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
Funding For GBS Postgraduate students
Postgraduate students can apply for financing through the Graduate School of Business. Visit http://www.gsb.uct.ac.za/funding-scholarships for further information.
