Sugar Industry Trust Fund for Education (SITFE) Bursaries

Sugar Industry Trust Fund for Education (SIFTE), was established in 1965 and is one of South Africa’s oldest private sector Trust Funds. The goal was to promote education and environmentally friendly practices in the country’s sugarcane industry. Today, it organizes and funds a variety of educational programs aimed at improving the industry and growing communities. SIFTE also funds school buildings and students through bursaries.

In its 56-years history, SITFE has provided bursaries to over 10 200 students, financed school building projects, provided financial assistance to tertiary institutions and has worked closely with educational organisations to improve the overall education standard in the sugarcane growing provinces, namely KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga.

N/B: The Sugar Industry Trust Fund for Education (SITFE) is inviting students from KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga to apply for bursaries funding, for the 2022 academic year.
